Destination Nor' Ouest II

In eight one hour episodes, this documentary series tells the story of 10 strangers who accept to retrace the steps of the French Canadians in the 18thcentury fur trade. A long trek awaits them as they make their way from Winnipeg Lake, to Manitoba, all the way to the Pacific Ocean.

The travellers will try as best they can to navigate the rivers and lakes, and will have to portage, eat, dress and camp as they would have done back in the day. Everyday they will have to travel on average 20 to 50 kilometres, and will have to sleep under the stars.

During this 100-day adventure, the travellers will be confronted to many challenges from their surroundings and from themselves, as they are thrown into a wildly different way of life.
